Lincoln City Community Days Celebration, April 23-28, 2013, Lincoln City -  An amazing week full of food drives, pony rides, radio shows, Kiwanis pancake breakfast, kayaking on Devils Lake and events with the Lions, Eagles & Rotary Clubs.  This was a fun filled week with a community that gives so much.  Thank you for letting me be a part of this!.

Keynote Speaker at Lions Club

Keynote Speaker at Lions Club, April 17, 2013, Gresham - I was honored to be the Keynote Speaker at the Gresham Breakfast Lions Club which honored the academic excellence and volunteerism of students from Gresham, Sam Barlow and Springwater Trail high schools with scholarships.  Since its inaugural event 27 years ago, the Lions Club has presented a total of $219,750 in scholarships to students.

One Fine Day

One Fine Day, April 17, 2013, Eugene -  So honored to be a part of the ninth annual One Fine Day Luncheon.  A unique, elegant, and fun luncheon featuring an auction of unique packages, home decor, and signature high-end handbags and luggage to benefit VIM (Volunteers In Medicine Clinic).  VIM provides high-quality, compassionate medical care to low-income, uninsured adults in Lane County.

Oregon Military Museum

Oregon Military Museum, April 11, 2013, Clackmas - A great tour  of the Brig. Gen. James B. Thayer Oregon Military Museum at Camp Withycombe. Joining me were State Defense Force Brig Gen. James B. Thayer, former Oregon Governors Ted Kulongoski and Vic Atiyeh, Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs Director Cameron Smith, President of Emmert International Terry Emmert, and John, Jim and Mike Thayer. The group was also able to watch the old Camp Withycombe guard shack being moved off the premises.

Portland Roadster Show

Portland Roadster Show, March 15-17, 2013, Portland - The Multnomah Hot Rod Council does more than just hold a roadster show.  The council awards Automotive Scholarships to students in high school and community colleges in the Portland and southwest Washington area, contributes to the Randall Legacy Emanuel Hospital for children with cancer, the Ronald McDonald House, and is a sponsor of the Miss Oregon Organization for young women.  Thank you not only for letting me be a part of these wonderful events but for all that you do within the community!

Lines For Life Dinner Auction

Lines For Life Dinner Auction, March 14, 2013, Portland -  Night at the Museum was the theme for Lines for Life’s annual Gala Dinner & Auction.  Lines for Life which helps prevents substance abuse and suicide has an anonymous Military Helpline which is unique in the country and a YouthLine which offers confidential teen-to-teen counseling on bullying, substance abuse, self harm and suicide.  This was a fun night for such an amazing group.  Thank you for letting me be a part of it!
